What years are available?
The complete archive currently covers 1995 through 2027. Every year has a permanent URL and a twelve-month US calendar, including years whose editorial event timeline is still being researched.
Can I print or download a calendar as a PDF?
Yes. Every year page has two free downloads above the calendar: a Year PDF with all twelve months on one US Letter page, and a Monthly PDF with one month per page and the holidays written in the day boxes. You can also press Print to print the page directly; the print layout removes navigation and long article sections.
Which holidays are included?
Year pages separate federal holidays from widely observed civic, religious and cultural dates. Federal weekend substitutions are shown as observed dates. State, school, bank and employer closures can differ and should be confirmed locally.
How accurate are the moon and season times?
The site uses standard astronomical algorithms and states the time-zone assumption. A phase or seasonal event close to midnight may fall on a different date in another US time zone. Use an observatory service for precision observing requirements.
Where does the history on each year page come from?
Each year from 1995 to 2026 has a researched timeline of notable events and in-depth articles on the biggest stories, written from government archives, official organizations, universities and established news services. Sources are listed on every article. The 2027 page lists only events that are already officially scheduled.
Can I report a correction?
Yes. Email oldcalenders@gmail.com with the page URL and the detail to review. See the editorial policy for our sourcing and corrections process.
